What was he expecting?

Paul Heroux, a state-level legislator in Massachusettes, goes to HuffPo to publish a question:

What if the Second Amendment Were Repealed?

The answer in the comments section was, overwhelmingly, Civil War.

He doesn’t seem delusional, so I have to ask if he thought there was a different answer waiting for him?

I think it’s a good idea they’re reminded of that fact from time to time.

I didn’t see anyone point it out over there but it should be mentioned – there are at least 20+ million scoped rifles in the country and perhaps 500,000 people capable of hitting a man sized target at 400 yards. After a number of “local actions”, Politicians of the Paul Heroux persuasion would be running around like Daffy burning “duck season” signs. In fact, IMO the only thing stopping that from happening now is that it would be counterproductive to the continuance of gun rights.
