Boomershoot Travel

A big part of Boomershoot for me is spending a week or more driving through gorgeous country, from Cali to Idaho and back.

On I-5 there’s this one exit that seemed apropos:

Boomershoot takes place way up in the hills where those clouds are. From Orofino, where this photo was taken, they can actually hear the thunder.

And it’s gorgeous up top as well:

The drive south through Idaho is stunning, but I’ve not yet had the camera to do it justice. However, I did find this one spot between Orovada and Winnemucca that I could definitely retire to. Yes, I like a whole lot of nothin,’ preferably with big mountain views and long fields of fire.

I’m much more of a ‘green, rolling hills’ guy myself.

Heh, whether that’s due to upbringing or crappy eyesite and crappier long range skills I don’t know. I DO love me some 100 yard brush guns though. 😛
