They’ll be saying that “everyone is somebody’s child!”

Gun Injuries Prevalent in Children

Researchers found that 7,391 young people under age 20 were admitted to U.S. hospitals in 2009 because of firearm injuries – about 20 a day. More than 6% of them died from their injuries

What is the number if you removed 16, 17, 18 and 19 year olds?

It must be pretty low if they have to go all the way to 19 to get something “shocking”.

Sorry, but if you are old enough to legally drive a car and “pre-register” to vote, you are not a “child”.

I’d like to know whether it is ‘US children’ or ‘children in the US’. Because I suspect they counted all injuries to all the 18 and 19-year old soldiers serving in combat overseas.

I’d like to know how many of the firearm-related injuries were caused by pistol-whipping and similar blunt-force trauma rather than shots.

Since ” In children under age 10, 75% of hospitalizations were due to unintentional injuries”, I would like to know the exact definition of “firearm-related”. Is every accident during a hunting trip presumed firearm-related?

Well now, if they didn’t stretch the age limits then they wouldn’t get the numbers they wanted.
