I find it devastatingly sad that there’s so very much to know in each one, all never to be known by me or thousands of those in my wake, for tens of centuries at least.
Then I remember how extraordinary it is to even be able to see these images.
Was Jefferson sad, upon learning of the Rockies, that he’d never see them? Sure, but that’s what the mind’s for.
