One of those cool agorist kids in Free State New Hampshire.
It says “Liberty or Death” in latin. The skeleton is the inside cover page for the 1876 London edition of the Grey’s Anatomy book — Naomi Jeys
Free State New Hampshire seems to be working; ten years on, Free Staters have a significant presence in the town of Grafton and city of Keene, and growing representation in the legislature and, judging by one complaint, dominance of the state Republican party.
New Hampshire’s not my bag — I’ve been seduced by the sun since moving to Cali — but I’ve been mildly intrigued by Boston T. Party’s Free State Wyoming, and one of the side benefits to journeying to Sundance for the annual MOA Long Range Handgun competition would be that it’s in Boston’s preferred Wyoming county for Free Staters, so I’d be able to look around a bit.
I recently received Joel Skousen’s massively updated Strategic Relocation, and for those contemplating relocation for liberty’s sake, whether to Rawles’ American Redoubt or one of the Free State states, it’s an essential read.
I finally read Boston’s Molon Labe this summer. I still prefer Idaho or Montana. The idea of Wyoming is intriguing…at least the way Boston writes it.
But I have seen Wyoming, at least the southern parts. When I moved back to Seattle from my year in Denver, I drove the entire state across I-80. It has to be the most boring scenery in the country. I have been told the the northwestern parts of Wyoming are beautiful, though I have never seen it for myself.
Yeah, the wife and I used to work with a woman from Laramie, who insisted it was the most desolate and boring place on Earth.
I’ve been told the areas around Sundance are pretty, though.
