Came across this Cole’s Acku-Rest leather bag while digging thru stuff for Boomershoot prep. IIRC the fellow who gave it to me used it as a rear bag for a Garand.
It is empty, AND THERE IS NO FILL HOLE I can see. Do I have to unstitch/restitch to add sand?
– this little pocket for the pull tab is not a fill hole so far as I can tell.

Looks like all you need is a funnel!
Yep, That is where the shot goes. They make special narrow funnels for that.
On a similar bag that I have, the end of the pulltab is split. If you squeeze the edges together, the tab opens up into a tube and the end of the funnel goes in there. When done filling, pick the bag up by the tab and shake it till the tab is empty and fold the end of the tab back into the little pocket in the bottom of the bag.

If you check fabric or craft stores, they’ve got bags of poly balls for filling the bases of stand-up dolls and such that work pretty well for fill on these
Aquarium gravel works well and is cheap.
