The gunosphere has oft wondered “What makes those who believe that gun control works so darn violent?”
The same can be asked of the peaceniks. Overly educated, highly opinionated, and having more time on their hands than Clocky from Pee Wee’s Playhouse to worry about the behavior of others. They will get in your face and they will not be “silenced” but your attempts to ignore them.
The Set-Up: An OpEd writer for the London Times writes about how it is his belief that people who read books by certain authors in public should be physically abused. So far, his list of authors includes JK Rowling and Terry Pratchett.
This leads to the quote:
I’m sure a fair few of you have read Pratchett. I certainly have – sometimes on trains – and if I was assaulted for that “crime†by Mr Liddle there would be a hoicking up the bracket and indeed elsewise that would make me the stuff of CCTV legend. Liddle would wind-up dictating his mindless drivel by blinking Morse Code from a care-home for the chronically spackered.
Really, what is it with these so called “peace-loving” leftists that makes them so violent?
Uh, translation, please?
Beats me(which they’d apparently like to). Displaced aggression, maybe?
Or just plain old garden-variety stupidity?
