The Soundboard: Rock Solid Edition

The chiropractor visit yesterday went well. I discovered that my lack of caution while lifting wasn’t the problem. It was my balls.

After walking around for 35+ years with that much mass moving about, I guess that I should have expected some problems. The doc has prescribed me some extra-tight tighty-whities which I will pick up this morning and he’ll see me again in a week.

OK, seriously, his first question after seeing my x-rays was how long I’d been riding chopped motorcycles. When I told him that I never had he asked about extensive wheeltime in sportscars with nearly solid suspensions. I had to plead guilty there. He pointed out where I was compressed from the ride and where I was beginning to look over-flexed from having to bend my extra-heighted self into them.

A couple of big hugs and three crunchy pops later and I could rotate at the waist more than I had been able to in a while. Sleeping and waking up was better too.

Then I almost had to assault him and steal his massage chair. MSNBC would probably consider it a torture device, but I think the only thing it needs is a Happy Ending option to make it perfect (especially if the Ending signal brought in either of his x-ray babes).

So, to commemorate the occasion here is a Metallica track from when they actually, well, rocked solid, with footage of other folks doing things with cars and motorcycles that most likely sent them to the chiropractor.

And if you liked that, here it is live (while Newstead was still around).

Enjoy!

  1. Like many others who have read and benefited from it, I urge anyone with musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction to get/read/heed a copy of Pete Egoscue’s Pain Free.
