Calm down guys. Arnold will be leaving the Governor’s chair and kicking Barbara Boxer out of the Senate soon enough. All of his actions since the 2006 election have been calculated to preserve his attack on Boxer’s seat. So I’m cutting him a lot of slack.

And in this case, although I did my part to tie up the Gov’s phone lines in opposition to this bill to no avail, in the end it appears the Dems got pwned anyway.

See, the law may provide great soundbites for the press, but if you examine it closely it doesn’t look like AB-1471 can actually be implemented for at least another 15 years due to some really cunning language about patents that was inserted into the bill. Check it out.
