Polipundit has this bit o’ news:
Under the radar, momentous political events are taking place in Iraq that may have profound ramifications for the future of the country. It seems that a powerful Shiite-Sunni coalition with ties to Kurdish leaders that does not include radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr is preparing to oust current prime minister Nouri al-Maliki and install a new government. … The emerging leaders appear to have the support of Washington, notably the kingpin, Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim, who visited the White House last week.
Wouldn’t be surprising that the MSM completely missed out on the importance of al-Hakim’s visit. The NewsHour had a nice interview with al Hakim, of course, not that anybody watched it.
Betcha a nickel that the general thrust of MSM coverage is of the Chicken Little variety if/when this occurs…. What, no takers?
This, of course, would generate the Perfect Shitstorm, a Cat-5 feces-flinging crapapalooza.
This will be the greatest Bush-Bashing opportunity ever, if it happens as you called it, the idiot leftists won’t give any thought at all to the proposition that by opposing the coup, they are supporting Tater and Iran.
I just hope the new coalition gets ‘er done before the 110th Congress is seated.
