Cuba examining socialism for flaws

The Cuban government has launched a study with a surprising focus: What about socialism causes people to steal?

People steal in capitalist societies, but I don’t blame it on capitalism. I don’t live under a socialist/communist government, so I cannot really say which one creates more theft, though I highly suspect, what with government trying to give you everything, though never being able to give you enough of it, socialism would be the more crime-ridden of the two systems.

And there they have their answer: Government cannot supply all of a human’s needs, let alone their wants, so they will take what they need, and if they have time what they want.

Of course, I also suspect that the Cuban government will try and sluff off any lack results they get by saying that capitalist countries actually have more theft problems and that they don’t need to look into why people still steal under socialism.

Though not before beating and toturing as many thieves as they can lay their hands on.

Val Prieto has his own theory, as well as a question about the rhetorical integrity of the quesiton itself.
