At least according to the Citizen’s Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
This is the card that the CCRKBA sent out for Christmas.

Of course, it has the left’s panties in a bunch.
Make sure you read the commenters over at Oliver Willis (Occupation: Toole)’s place.
My favorite is this one:
“That gun’s going to be really convincing to someone with dynamite strapped around his body.
I guess that Malacandra hasn’t taken in the button-pushing-terrorist stopping ability of an accurate pre-emptive hit to the head or upper-center of the chest?
That card is awesome! I am always amused by the fact that the symbol for the Dems is an ass, how fitting.
Leave it to libs to comment on the cartoon itself and NOT the principle it is trying to communicate.
“I guess that Malacandra hasn’t taken in the button-pushing-terrorist stopping ability of an accurate pre-emptive hit to the head or upper-center of the chest?”
I don’t knwow Maladandra but I would guess not. Guns are for scaring people with – the very sight of a pistol should make the bad guy all faint and woozy. Heaven forbid you should .. you know .. USE the thing.
Bullfrog,
“A preemptive shot to the head or upper-center of the chest” is not as easy as you may think it is even from close distance. I don’t think that the commenter on O Willis stopped to think that this didn’t literally mean that you could stop a suicide bomber with a pistol. I am sure that it meant that the liberties of American People can be protected with our right to bear arms. And I am also sure that Santa holding a pistol (albeit incorrectly from the drawing) represents preserving our way of life from hostile aggression. I didn’t get wrapped around the axle on this one, but there are a few things I noted.
1. The artist that did the card sucked…they should have chosen someone else.
2. Christmas Cards, despite the violence in the bible, are routinely peaceful, joyous expressions. This one is simply political, and I don’t think they should have been mixed.
Just my opinion, though. Happy Holidays to you.
