In an effort to polish the teacher’s apple having passed notes in class, Nancy “Raving Anti-Gun Bitch� Pelosi is proposing the following for her fellow House Dems
* Ban Members from accepting any gifts from lobbyists.
* Ban Members from secretly working with corporate lobbyists to write legislation.
* Ban lobbying by Members of Congress and high level staff for two years after leaving Congress.
* Enforce the ban on Members and staff soliciting privately-funded travel.
* Ban lobbyists from arranging and financing travel.
* End the ‘K Street Project’ – ban Members and staff from threatening lobbyists with official actions.
So now Pelosi is trying to look good in the wake of all the freshly made Democrat hay over Tom DeLay. Granted, that is what the opposition leader is supposed to do, but she should at least try to apologize for her past indiscretions first.
Oh well, at least this’ll be fun to watch.
On a side note, does anyone seriously believe that even a single part of this will be followed if/when the Dems ever win back the majority?
